After running over an hour late to our shoot (who knew getting 4 children ready to go out would be so hard?!)… we had heaps of fun with Katie from

! She captured the most beautiful shots of our babies & Zee – which wasn’t an easy feat (we may have had to bribe Zee with Peppa Pig to get some of the shots). I love them all but this one’s definitely my favourite!
Now I’m not a lactation expert by any means, but I am breast feeding 3 babies so I have been doing my research on how to increase my milk supply. There are lots of things you need to do in order to increase your supply, such as get heaps of rest (yeah right!), drink lots of water and eat extra calories – basically, looking after yourself!
Aside from looking after yourself (which isn’t always easy to do when you’re looking after little ones), you can also treat yourself while boosting your milk supply. This is one of my favorite Smoothie recipes that I have created based on ingredients that are all said to increase lactation, and it’s delicious!
Being pregnant with triplets is
not
like being pregnant with one. From the moment we felt their first movements we could really start to tell the babies apart. Our babies each have their own distinct personalities already and we started to get to know them during my pregnancy.
For many families, the arrival of a newborn reshapes everyday routines in small but meaningful ways. Sleep becomes a patchwork of short stretches, and the rhythm of the day often bends to feeding times and gentle quiet hours. Parents discover a new kind of patience, learning to read tiny cues and respond to needs expressed in the smallest gestures. The experience tends to encourage a slower pace, where ordinary moments like a warm bottle or a soft lullaby take on a deeper significance. It is a season of adjustment, marked by tenderness and the steady unfolding of new bonds within the household.
Motherhood with multiples, such as triplets, brings its own unique tempo and learning curve. Coordinating feeding schedules, rest, and care for more than one baby at a time calls for careful planning and a generous dose of flexibility. Families often find creative solutions for everyday logistics, from shared nap routines to streamlined meal preparation. Support from friends and community can become an essential part of the journey, offering help and shared understanding. The experience can be demanding, yet it also brings a remarkable closeness among siblings and a deep sense of shared purpose that grows alongside the children.
Pregnancy is a time of constant change, both physically and emotionally. Expectant mothers often pay close attention to nutrition, rest, and gentle movement as they prepare for the months ahead. Bonding with the growing baby can begin long before birth, through quiet moments of reflection, conversation, and music. Partners and family members frequently become more involved, sharing in the anticipation and planning. Each stage of pregnancy brings its own questions and considerations, and many find comfort in learning from others who have walked a similar path. The journey invites a thoughtful approach to well-being and a deeper appreciation for the changes taking place.
Family life with young children is filled with small celebrations and everyday milestones. Birthdays, holidays, and ordinary weekends become opportunities to gather, share meals, and create memories together. Simple activities like a walk in the park, a shared meal, or an afternoon of play can hold lasting meaning. The presence of a pet, such as a golden retriever, often adds warmth and a sense of companionship to the household. As children grow, the family finds new traditions and rituals that reflect its evolving character, building a sense of belonging and shared history.
Maintaining health and fitness alongside the demands of family life is a common goal for many parents. Finding time for regular exercise, whether at a gym or through home routines, can support both physical and mental well-being. Balanced nutrition and adequate rest also play an important role in sustaining energy throughout busy days. Many parents approach fitness as a long-term practice rather than a short-term goal, focusing on steady progress and realistic habits. Sharing the journey with friends or a wider community can offer encouragement and a sense of shared purpose along the way.
The Waiting Game. Article written for Wonderful Mama Magazine – June 2015
I’ve been thinking about writing this piece for a long time now, but given that we’ll be meeting our triplets in a couple of days, it feels like the right time to put pen to paper – a bit like now or never.
We’re currently at the end of our pregnancy “Waiting Game” and about to embark on a whole new journey, but this story is about the experience of becoming a mother, and a parent. The excitement, the joy, the fear and the emotional roller coaster that is – trying to start a family.
This is Emily’s story. Beautiful mother of one, wife, entrepreneur, photographer, blogger, and pregnant with triplets. We asked her to share some of her experiences to shed some light on a multiple pregnancy!

We’re on the home stretch now, with just 2 weeks to go until we meet these beautiful babies of ours, and let me tell you – I am SO ready! And what passes the time better than a few laughs.
This one is for all the pregnant women out there (whether you are pregnant with singles or multiples, I’m sure you can relate!).
Let me start by saying that I’m not easily offended; actually, it’s pretty hard to offend me, so this post is just for laughs. I just think it’s hilarious what some people (strangers) ask you when they find out you’re pregnant with triplets.
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband (of six years) Rob, our almost 2 year-old son Xavier (aka Zee!) and our fur baby River (the Golden Retriever)! It’s about to get a little crazy in our house! Our family is about to double in size when our triplets arrive in a few weeks. They’re due in early June at around 34 – 35 weeks, which is considered “full-term” for triplets.
