What do you do when one of your friends tells you she’s pregnant? You spoil her rotten, that’s what!
I have only been to High Tea once, for my mums 60th, and I am beyond excited to go again this year to the Babyology Baby Shower on the 28th of August! I am taking my gorgeous friend who is about to have her second baby and I couldn’t be more excited about a girls day out (and the arrival of her baby of course!)
As you can imagine, we don’t get to go on too many holidays at the moment! Having four kids 2 and under means we cant fly anywhere (unless we can convince someone to come with us to look after one of the babies) – as you need one adult per child under the age of 2 (we’re totally out numbered!) So, we were pretty excited to get away for a mini-vacay to Ballarat.
For the triplet’s first birthday party I wanted to do something pretty special. Its not everyday you get to celebrate your babies first birthday – especially three of your babies at once! Plus, I wanted to throw a party to celebrate us making it through our first year as a family of six – with four kids – 2 and under. So, I may have gone a little crazy… But I had so much fun planning.
Now, I’m no professional photographer, but I do love taking pics of my beautiful babies!! Here are my top 5 tips of how to get great shots of your babes. All the photos on my Instagram page are my own (unless otherwise stated), but these gorgeous pics were taken by the very gorgeous and talented Steph Brown.
Okay, so I may have a slight obsession with buying clothes, my kids have a better wardrobe than me because I no longer have time to shop for myself, I have to live vicariously through them.
Although I love shopping all the new labels on instagram, I also love shopping for our everyday outfits for the kids from Target.
Navigating the world of family-friendly shopping can feel like a juggling act, especially when little ones come in threes. Many parents look for products that genuinely simplify daily routines rather than adding more clutter. A thoughtful approach focuses on items that grow with the family, replacing short-lived gadgets with reliable staples. Reading honest reviews and real-life feedback from other parents often helps cut through marketing noise, making it easier to decide what truly earns a spot in the home.
Baby gear has evolved considerably, with brands responding to the needs of busy households and growing families. Parents often seek gear that balances practicality, comfort, and durability without sacrificing style. From everyday essentials to occasional splurges, the right choices can make outings smoother and nap times more peaceful. Taking time to research safety standards, materials, and long-term usability tends to pay off, especially for those managing the beautiful chaos of raising multiple children.
Keeping a tidy and welcoming home becomes a creative challenge when little ones are constantly on the move. Many families discover that a few carefully chosen tools can dramatically reduce cleaning time and physical strain. Flooring, fabrics, and storage solutions all play a role in creating a space that feels both lived-in and organised. A balanced approach blends practicality with personal style, allowing the home to reflect family life while remaining comfortable and functional for everyone.
Self-care often takes a back seat during the early years of parenthood, yet it remains essential for long-term wellbeing. Parents frequently find that small, consistent habits make a meaningful difference in energy levels and mood. Whether it is a quiet morning ritual, a short walk, or a moment of mindful breathing, carving out personal time helps sustain the patience and positivity that family life demands. Looking after oneself is not indulgence but an investment in the whole family.
Meal planning can transform hectic weekdays into calmer, more enjoyable family routines. Preparing versatile ingredients in advance allows for quick assembly of nutritious meals, even on the busiest evenings. Involving children in simple kitchen tasks builds their confidence and curiosity about food. Embracing seasonal produce and family favourites keeps menus varied without adding stress, making shared mealtimes an opportunity for connection and conversation at the end of each day.
I’ve been (online) shopping with Feather & Noise since it began in 2013.
I was sitting in a café with my mothers group just after having Zee, and was admiring my new friends outfit. Of course, I had to ask where she got it and she told me that a friend of hers had started an online Facebook group where you could buy good quality, stylish clothes at really affordable prices. I immediately jumped on to the page and requested to join. From that moment on, I was an F&N lover.

Becoming a mother has changed me, in more ways than one. I have learned to love more, how to forgive more easily, and how to be more patient with others (I haven’t quite mastered the last one yet, but I get to practise this every day with our two-year old, Zee!)
There are so many things I continue to learn everyday from watching them grow up. Here are some important life lessons that I think we could all take from the little people in our lives.
There are many types and styles of photography when it comes to newborns and lots of photographers to choose from. Find someone who’s style you and your family love as these photos will be cherished forever.
Being pregnant with triplets is
not
like being pregnant with one. From the moment we felt their first movements we could really start to tell the babies apart. Our babies each have their own distinct personalities already and we started to get to know them during my pregnancy.
